Aveson Theater is hitting the stage with Disney’s Newsies JR.! This 60-minute musical packs all the energy, heart, and toe-tapping songs of the Broadway hit into one incredible show for young performers. Inspired by the true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies JR. reminds us that when we stand together, we’re stronger than we ever thought possible.

Led by the spirited Jack Kelly, the newsies take on powerful publishers, raise their voices, and learn the meaning of unity, courage, and friendship. And yes—you’ll hear favorites like “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe.”

Joining the Aveson Theater means stepping into a world of creativity, teamwork, and pure fun. Whether you’re belting out a big number, building sets, or cheering from backstage, this is your chance to make theater magic—and be part of a story that’s all about standing up for what’s right.

So grab your caps, roll up your sleeves, and get ready to shout it from the rooftops!
